When does an object become architecture?

At object scale, every architectural decision moves closer to the hand.

A chair, basin or handrail has no distant façade. Its weight, temperature, edge and balance are understood immediately through use. Material cannot hide behind an overall composition.

Objects are useful architectural tests because they compress structure, detail and human behaviour into something that can be held or occupied at once. They reveal whether a design explains itself to the body.

Applied hereThese studies show the same questions moving across scales: how something stands, how it is joined, where the body touches it and how material makes its purpose understandable.

These studies move closer to the body. Structure, support, colour and junction are tested through compact objects where every decision remains visible.

Together they form a working archive: not isolated products, but evidence that the same questions of material, movement and use continue from territory to detail.
